Experience tradition and attend one of Northumberland's historic fall fairs in Port Hope, Roseneath and Warkworth!   Every Saturday you can taste Northumberland's fresh produce at Farmers' Markets in Cobourg, Port Hope, Hastings and Campbellford.

Celebrate harvest season at the Brighton's Applefest, the last weekend of September.  Events include live entertainment, children's activities, arts and crafts and the famous apple parade; and of course a large abundance of fresh local apples ready to purchase. A new food event to Port Hope this fall is Cultivate.  A food and drink festival, that brings chefs, restaurateurs, farmers and patrons together to celebrate Northumberland's culinary culture.

Tour the county in the fall and enjoy the arts at the Northumberland Hills Studio Tour or the Trent Hills Gallery & Studio Hop. Each tour takes you through the rolling hills with breathtaking views. If live music is your thing, be sure to drop by the All Canadian Jazz Festival in Port Hope for a weekend full of the arts.

Are you looking for a guided hike?  September offers a few in Brighton at Proctor Park and in Presqu'ile Provincial Park.  The Ganaraska Forest has two with one centred around Hallowe'en featuring a night hike.

If the weather is looking a little dicey, come on inside for a dinner/theatre performance or a concert.  Go back in time with the Vintage Film Festival bringing you a weekend full of classic films.

Celebrate Halloween this season with a trip over to Phantom Farm to face your fears in the haunted barn or on a spooky hay ride.
